For over 25 years, Henkel has empowered leading steel producer Voestalpine to eliminate hexavalent chromium (chrome VI) from its coil-coating process. Working side by side, we implemented a cost-efficient solution that resulted in a safer and more efficient process with excellent corrosion protection, paint adhesion, and durability. This breakthrough made Voestalpine the first steel producer in Europe to fully eliminate chrome VI from its coil-coating process, setting a new industry standard for sustainability and performance.

One of our latest innovations is a low-foam, low-temperature cleaner for aluminium beverage cans. BONDERITE 72000 series cleans at a lower temperature, reducing energy and water consumption and lowering carbon footprints. In fact, during a recent trial, a customer was able to reduce their carbon emissions by 38%.
