End-to-end surface treatment expertise

Accelerate product development and increase manufacturing efficiency by testing surface treatment solutions in real-world conditions. The Center features a dozen dip tanks that replicate a manufacturing environment and have the capacity to accommodate large-scale component sizes.

Cleaning:

Removes oils, compounds, and contaminants while preparing the surface. Controlled chemistry improves safety, sustainability, and coating adhesion.

Phosphate pretreatment:

Forms a uniform, stable surface ready for finish coatings. The BONDERITE Flex Process supports high aluminum content with reduced sludge and lower energy use.

Thin film pretreatment:

The BONDERITE TecTalis Thin Film process operates at ambient temperature and treats mixed metals while boosting adhesion with a durable nanolayer and minimal sludge.

Ecoat deposition:

Uses electrical attraction to apply a fully uniform, tightly bonded, corrosion‑resistant coating across the entire part.

E-Coat Oven:

Enables the e-coat film to crosslink, level and harden fully.

Validating performance before production

Our Surface Treatment Experience Center features a newly upgraded pilot line equipped with 12 configurable dip tanks, allowing our team to replicate a wide range of real‑world pretreatment and coating environments. This enables us to validate how your parts, materials, and chemistries will perform before they ever reach mass production.

Our pilot line allows us to rapidly iterate and fine‑tune processes—helping ensure the right parameters are defined early for consistent, reliable results. With the flexibility of 12 tanks, we can optimize and evaluate key variables, including:

  • Chemical concentration and dosing
  • Immersion time and sequence design
  • Bath temperature control
  • Agitation and circulation settings
  • Coating uniformity across complex geometries
  • Compatibility between process steps

This integrated setup enables faster cycle time for adjustments, reduces risk during scale‑up, and provides a clear pathway to production‑ready performance—built around specific parts and manufacturing needs.
