How to use

1. Preparation - Cleaning

For best results, clean and dry all surfaces with a residue-free solvent.


2. Preparation

Cut the nozzle to the desired bead size of 1.5 to 6.5 mm (3 mm is usually sufficient for most applications), then remove the cap, puncture the tube or cartridge seal, and attach the extension nozzle.


3. Clean up

Allow excess material to extend beyond the extension nozzle. On Power can the red cap can be placed over the nozzle and the nozzle returned 1/4 turn clockwise. These actions seal and protect the remaining product from moisture. Remove uncured product from parts and hand tools with a dry cloth, breaking any skinned-over film to remove as much as possible, and clean hands with a dry cloth or hand cleaner.


4. Applications

Apply desired bead size (3mm typically sufficient) of LOCTITE^® Ready Gasket to one surface in continuous fashion by first tracing the internal gasket areas, then all surrounding bolt holes, assemble the parts within 5 minutes while the gasket is still wet, securing to the recommended torque specifications. No re-torque is required after curing.
