A 1-part liquid thread sealant providing maximum solvent resistance on threaded fittings and pipes up to 50 mm (2") in diameter. It’s used in place of specialty non-hardening compounds, litharge, glycerin and sealing tape, and is great for temperatures up to 150°C (300°F).

For maximum solvent resistance on threaded fittings and pipes up to 50.8 mm (2") in diameter, choose LOCTITE® 554. This red liquid thread sealant is ideal for refrigeration systems and service with strong chemicals, and is used in place of specialty non-hardening compounds, litharge, glycerine, and sealing tape. Perfect for use in metal and fiber plants, chemical processing, paper processing plants, waste treatment facilities and textile industries. Please note this product is not for slip fitted tube joints.
