For general purpose sealing of metal-threaded pipes and fittings, especially water pipes, choose LOCTITE® 5117. This liquid thread sealant is brushable, non-hardening, and is ideal for applications with an operating range of -54 to 205°C (-65°F to 400°F). It provides an instant, low pressure seal upon application and can be used on lines carrying alkalis (10%), ethylene glycol, petroleum and lubricating oil.
