How to use
For best performance, bond surfaces should be clean and free from dirt, grease, and other contaminants.
Cut away loose and damaged pieces of the belt surfaces, taking care not to cut the reinforcement fabric; abrade the repair area with an abrasive wheel or wire wheel to roughen the bond surface, avoiding overheating the belt and melting the rubber during grinding; aggressively clean the prepared surfaces with a Loctite® solvent-based cleaner (such as SF 8220 Flex Cleaner or Teroson® D) and allow them to dry; then, for maximum performance, apply Loctite® Fixmaster® Etching Agent and allow it to dry for 30 minutes at 25°C (77°F) or 60 minutes at 10°C (50°F).
For cartridges, insert the cartridge into the application gun and start the plunger into the cylinders using light pressure on the trigger; remove the cartridge cap and expel a small amount of adhesive to ensure both sides are flowing evenly and freely, then attach the static mixing nozzle and begin dispensing adhesive. Purge and dispose of the first 3-5 cm from the end of the mix nozzle, as it may not be sufficiently mixed, and work quickly, since the material will begin to cure in the static mixer. For cans, pour the hardener into the resin and mix thoroughly until uniform in color and consistency (1-2 minutes), then pour the mixture out of the can onto the repair surface to maximize work life.
Apply the urethane onto the substrate and work it in with a plastic spatula to ensure maximum surface contact and adhesion. For cartridges, it is not necessary to use all the urethane in one application; leave the static mixer on the cartridge when finished, as it serves as a seal, and discard and replace the mixer when needed.
LOCTITE® PC 7350 cures very quickly at high temperatures, which reduces adequate working time and may cause premature curing.
To achieve a 6 mm (0.25 in) thickness, the coverage rate is 567 cm² (88 in²) per 400 ml cartridge, excluding overthickness, repairs, etc.
Any voids, pinholes, or low-thickness areas should be repaired by lightly abrading, cleaning, and applying additional product.
Immediately after use, clean tools with a suitable cleaner, e.g., Loctite® SF 7611™ or a solvent such as acetone or isopropyl alcohol. Once cured, the material can only be removed mechanically.
FAQ
Yes, For best performance, bond surfaces should be clean and free of dirt, grease, and other contaminants.
LOCTITE® PC 7350 should be stored in its unopened container in a dry location, with optimal storage temperatures between 8 °C and 21 °C, as storage below 8 °C or above 28 °C can adversely affect product properties, and material removed from containers may become contaminated during use.
LOCTITE® PC 7350is recommended for applications in cast urethane screens, chutes, conveyor belts, feeder bowls, hoppers, mill liners, mills, pump liners, pump linings, pumps, rubber repair, screens, urethane liners, and urethane screens.
