How to use

1. Preparation - Pre-treatment

The surfaces to be coated with TEROSON WT S3000 AQUA must be clean, dry, and free of rust, oil, grease, dust, and other contaminants. Areas not to be coated should be properly covered. Bare sheet steel must always be coated with wash primer prior to applying TEROSON WT S3000 AQUA.


2. Application

TEROSON WT S3000 AQUA is applied from 1-liter cans using the Henkel UBC-Gun at a recommended pressure of 3-5 bar, and the can should be shaken well before use to achieve fine surface structures with the spray gun. The product can be overpainted with either waterborne or solvent-based paints; however, due to the wide variety of paint systems available, preliminary compatibility tests should always be conducted. Waterborne paints may be applied after a minimum of six hours, once a matte surface has formed, and up to 72 hours after application, while conventional (solvent-based) paints can be applied after full drying and within 72 hours. As TEROSON WT S3000 AQUA is a fast-drying, thick-layer system, care must be taken when accelerating drying with an airstream system or air pistol to avoid damaging the quickly formed surface skin, as tearing or blowing it onto the underlying wet material may cause cracking and negatively affect the surface finish.


3. Cleaning

Equipment and contaminated parts should be cleaned immediately after use with water; if necessary, an aqueous detergent may also be used. Pure solvent-based cleaners must not be used, as they cause coagulation. Once TEROSON WT S3000 AQUA has dried, it can only be removed mechanically.
