For effective cleaning and degreasing of plastic components prior to bonding, choose LOCTITE® SF 7070. Suitable for use as a spray or in immersion cleaning at room temperature. This solvent-based, non-CFC cleaner can remove most oils, greases, lubrication fluids, and other contaminants from plastic parts without the risk of stress cracks.

How to use
Hold the can upright approximately 1" from the area to be cleaned and spray the area to be cleaned. Wipe the area with a clean rag to remove the contamination. After use, turn the can upside down and spray for 3 seconds to clear the nozzle.
FAQ
If a substrate is dirty, the bond is only as strong as the adhesion of the contaminant to the part, not the adhesive to the part. Contaminants can come from machining, protecting, handling, manufacturing, facility surroundings, and even from cleaners used previously that have left a film. Just a slight oil film left behind on a substrate, can reduce adhesive performance by as much as 60 percent.
