TEROSON^® BOND 120

How to use

1. Preparation - Pre-treatment

Ensure the substrate to be bonded is dry and free from oil, dust, grease, and other contaminants. Inspect the new windscreen for any damages or scratches and verify it fits correctly. For optimal adhesion on the new screen, we recommend using two different surface preparation methods.Wait at least 2 minutes after the cleaning process to allow all remaining residues to evaporate. Cleaning of the cut adhesive layer remaining on the window aperture is generally not necessary. However, if cleaning of this remaining layer is required, an evaporation time of at least 2 minutes is mandatory.


2. Cleaning - Solvent-based

wipe the surface with a lint-free cloth and alcohol-based glass cleaner, then abrade the bond line using a smooth abrasive pad or a wetted TEROSON^® BOND SPONGE, and wipe the surface again with a lint-free cloth and alcohol-based glass cleaner.


3. Priming

Before opening the TEROSON^® BOND ALL-IN-ONE-PRIMER bottle, shake it well for at least 1 minute, then apply the primer with a wool dauber in one pass on the bond line and allow it to flash off for 2 minutes. If the old adhesive bead is cut back within 2 hours, it does not need to be primed, but if it takes longer, activate the old cut bead with TEROSON^® BOND ALL-IN-ONE-PRIMER, as it provides the best adhesive surface for TEROSON^® BOND 120 when free from dust or grease. For pre-coated windows, apply the primer with a wool dauber, allow it to flash off for 2 minutes, and then apply TEROSON^® BOND 120, considering the thickness of the pre-coating.


4. Application - Urethane

Apply the urethane according to the product application instructions, ensuring a continuous bead and proper placement for the windscreen bonding application.
