LOCTITE® EA E-214HP is a high-temperature resistant structural bonder with superior thermal-shock resistance. The 1-part, thixotropic epoxy develops tough, strong, structural bonds with excellent peel resistance and impact strength. It has a very high shear strength of 33 N/mm², gap fill capabilities up to 118 mil (3 mm / 0.12"), and can withstand very high temperatures up to 200°C (392°F). Suitable for Surface Permanent Magnet (SPM) bonding.

How to use
For high strength structural bonds, remove surface contaminants such as paint, oxide films, oils, dust, mold release agents, and all other contaminants, and use gloves to minimize skin contact; do not use solvents for cleaning hands.
Join the adhesive-coated surfaces and allow them to cure at 120 °C or above until completely firm; heating up to 150 °C for 2 hours will maximize properties. Keep the parts from moving during cure, as contact pressure is necessary, and maximum shear strength is obtained with a bond line thickness of 0.08 to 0.13 mm.
For maximum bond strength apply adhesive evenly to both surfaces to be joined.
Excessive uncured adhesive can be cleaned up with ketone type solvents.

Yes, for high-strength structural bonds, remove surface contaminants such as paint, oxide films, oils, dust, mold release agents, and all other surface contaminants.
LOCTITE® EA E-214HP should be stored in an unopened container in a dry location, as indicated on the product container labeling. The optimal storage temperature is below 4°C, as storage above 4°C can adversely affect product properties. Material removed from the container may become contaminated during use and should not be returned to the original container.
The Tensile Strength of this cured product is 31 N/mm² according to ISO 527 - 2.
