LOCTITE® AA 3963 is an acrylic, light-cure medical device adhesive offering high adhesion to rigid substrates, such as stainless steel, polycarbonate, ABS, Acrylic, HDPE (when treated), PP (when treated) and more. It offers excellent resistance to humidity and accelerated aging.

How to use
For best performance bond surfaces should be clean and free from grease.
The product should be dispensed using black feed lines. Cooling should be provided for temperature-sensitive substrates such as thermoplastics. Plastic grades should be evaluated for the risk of stress cracking when exposed to liquid adhesive. Excess uncured adhesive may be removed using an organic solvent (e.g., acetone). Bonded assemblies should be allowed to cool before being subjected to any service loads.
Cure rate is dependent on lamp intensity, distance from light source, depth of cure needed or bondline gap and light transmission of the substrate through which the radiation must pass.
This product is light-sensitive; exposure to daylight, UV light, and artificial lighting should be kept to a minimum during storage and handling.

Yes, for best performance, bond surfaces should be clean and free from grease.
LOCTITE® AA 3963 should be stored in its unopened container in a dry location, with storage information provided on the product container labeling. The optimal storage temperature between 8°C and 21°C. Storage below 8°C or above 28°C may adversely affect product properties, and any material removed from the container may become contaminated during use and should not be returned to the original container.
The fixture time of the product is 10 seconds, measured on glass slides under UV exposure using a 10 mW/cm² LED at 405 nm.
The tensile strength at break of the cured product is 23.1 N/mm², measured using the ISO 527-3 test method under UV exposure at 1000 mW/cm² for 10 s at 405 nm.
LOCTITE® AA 3963 is recommended for disposable medical devices and NEV (New Energy Vehicle).
