LOCTITE® AA 332 is an acrylic-based structural bonder for fast cure at high temperatures. The 2-step, activator-cured adhesive meets requirements for surface permanent magnet (SPM) bonding in electric motors, especially for high speed and temperature resistance in traction control windmills. It has a fixture time of under 3 minutes, a shear strength of 11 N/mm², and a temperature resistance of 180°C (356°F).

How to use
For best performance, bond surfaces should be clean and free from contaminants, including grease.
Activator 7387™ should be applied to one of the bond surfaces and the adhesive to the other surface. Parts should be assembled within two hours. Minimizing the on-part time of the activator maximizes the consistency of performance. Where bond gaps are large (up to a maximum of 0.5 mm), or faster cure speed is required, Activator 7387TM should be applied to both surfaces. Parts should be assembled immediately. Excess adhesive can be wiped away with organic solvent. Bond should be held clamped until adhesive has fixtured. Product should be allowed to develop full strength before subjecting to any service loads (typically 24 to 72 hours after assembly, depending on bond gap, materials and ambient conditions).

Yes, For best performance, bond surfaces should be clean and free from contaminants. Cleaning parts prior to bonding should involve residue-free cleaners.
LOCTITE® AA 332 should be stored in the unopened container in a dry location, with storage information possibly indicated on the product container labeling. Its optimal storage temperature is 8 °C to 21 °C, and storage below 8 °C or above 28 °C can adversely affect product properties. Material removed from containers may be contaminated during use.

strength in a 0.5" by 1.0" (13 mm by 25 mm) bond between two steel lap shears to support a 6.6 lb. (3 kg) weight (13.2 psi) for 10 seconds, is less than 3 minutes on steel with a 0.05 mm gap, less than 15 minutes on steel with a 0.25 mm gap, and less than 30 minutes on steel with a 0.5 mm gap, all measured using the ISO 4587 test method.
The tensile strength at break of the cured product is 17.9 N/mm², measured using the ISO 527-2 test method.
LOCTITE® AA 332 is recommended for use in motor magnet bonding and NEV (New Energy Vehicle) applications.
