For tough, durable bonds of low-energy plastics without surface pretreatment, try LOCTITE® AA 3035. This 2-part, high strength, fast-fixturing acrylic adhesive gel system is also great for bonding metal, glass and a host of other plastics. It is easy to use, low odor and non-flammable, and the 1:1 mix ratio product cures in just 10-15 minutes. It is also halogen- and solvent free, and doesn’t require refrigeration.

How to use
For best performance bond surfaces should be clean and free from grease.
Do not mix quantities greater than 4 kg as excessive heat build-up can occur. Mixing smaller quantities will minimise the heat build-up. Apply the adhesive as quickly as possible after mixing to one surface to be joined. For maximum bond strength apply adhesive evenly to both surfaces. Parts should be assembled immediately after mixed adhesive has been applied. Keep assembled parts from moving during cure. The bond should be allowed to cure 24 hours before subjecting to any service loads. Excess uncured adhesive can be wiped away with organic solvent (e.g. Acetone). After use and before adhesive hardens mixing and dispensing equipment should be cleaned with hot soapy water.
To achieve high-strength structural bonds, remove all surface contaminants such as paint, oxide films, oils, dust, mold release agents, and other residues, then insert the dual cartridge into the application gun, apply light trigger pressure to start the plunger, remove the cartridge cap and expel a small amount of adhesive to ensure both sides flow evenly, attach a mixing nozzle for automatic mixing or dispense and hand-mix the desired amount thoroughly for approximately 15 seconds after a uniform color is achieved.
FAQ
The product should be kept in the unopened container in a dry location, with storage information possibly indicated on the product container labeling. Its optimal storage temperature is 8 °C to 21 °C, and storage below 8 °C or above 28 °C can adversely affect product properties. Material removed from containers may be contaminated during use.
The fixture time for this product is lesser than 20 m on high-density polyethylene, and 10-15 m from high-density polyethylene to steel, measured under ISO 4587.
LOCTITE® AA 3035 is recommended for use on polyolefin or low surface aneregy plastics such as HDPE, LDPE etc., in all-terrain vehicles (ATV), appliances, electric motors, exterior application, interior application, jewelry, loudspeakers, marine accessories, outdoor furniture, outdoor power equipment, paper machine clothing, plastic pipes, plastic storage tanks, pre-coated metal (PCM) coatings, storage tanks, toys, and watercraft.
