LOCTITE® 3092 two-part instant adhesive is ideal for the assembly of parts with varying or undefined bond gaps up to 5 mm (0.2"), and applications where the complete cure of excess adhesive is a must. The gel consistency prevents adhesive flow, even on vertical surfaces, and can bond even porous materials like wood, paper, leather, and fabric. Best application results are achieved with the mixing nozzle provided.

How to use
It is recommended to use the correct LOCTITE® cleaner for the surface to be bonded (such as LOCTITE® SF 7070) to degrease and clean surfaces prior to applying the adhesive.
Place plunger in the back of the cartridge. Remove cap from cartridge. Dispense a small amount so that material is coming out of both sides. Attach mix nozzle and dispense a bead at least half of the length of the nozzle. The material is ready to use.
Apply a bead of material to one of the surfaces to be bonded. Join the parts and fixture in a way to prevent movement of the part until handling strength is obtained.
Assemble parts immediately. The parts should be accurately located as the short fixture time leaves little opportunity for adjustment. Bond should be held or clamped until the adhesive has fixtured. Hint: if necessary, excess product can be cured by activator LOCTITE® SF 7452. Spray or drop activator onto excess product.
For re-use, make sure to leave on the dispensing tip until next use. Then simply dispose of the old tip and use a new one. This avoids ingress of moisture or dirt into the cartridge.
FAQ
Although HQ is not part of the product formula for LOCTITE® 3092, trace amounts are possible due to shared manufacturing processes and/or select raw material impurities. Hence, Henkel has taken the additional step of introducing a low specification level (< 50 PPM for HQ) and each batch is now checked for this after manufacture.
This is called blooming. This often occurs when there is an excessive amount of product being applied. To avoid blooming, use proper ventilation, less product, lower humidity, use a primer/accelerator, or a low bloom product.
This is a result of stress cracking. Uncured liquid CA remaining on some plastic substrate (such as polycarbonate, acrylic, and polysulfone) in a stressed condition may cause the formation of cracks in the plastic. Some remedies for avoiding/minimizing stress cracking are closing the bond joint quickly, using reinforced grades of plastic, anneal parts, or speeding the cure of the CA with accelerator (or light for light curing CA products only).
Yes, CA’s should be stored in the refrigerator prior to opening, but DO NOT refrigerate them once they have already been opened. After opening, CA's should be used within 30 days for best performance.
