If you’re working with small diameter screws made of low strength metals (e.g., aluminum or brass), you need a special kind of threadlocker. LOCTITE® 222 fits the bill perfectly. It is ideal for low strength threadlocking of adjustment screws, countersunk head screws, and set screws; on collars, pulleys, tool holders and controllers. Cures on most metals without a primer, including passive substrates such as stainless steel, aluminum and plated surfaces. It also cures through light coatings of corrosion prevention oils without having to clean the parts.
