Dispense systems

Although the name is EQ HD14 400 ml manual & pneumatic guns, the guns are used for both 400 ml & 490 ml products.

The references to 30 ml size are the syringe size itself for all products with a 25 ml fill.  Thus, these are used with these units.

SDS documents are not made for equipment components. SDS documents are only available for chemical containing products such as adhesives.

An integrated dispenser includes a controller while a dispense reservoir does not.

An integrated dispenser can control up to two valves at once.

Double-check that your air connections are correct as they may be backwards. If not, you may need to clean and rebuild the valve.

In order to help minize waste you can use the white puck that is included with the reservoir. This puck will raise the adheisve bottle in the reservour so that the low level sensor will trigger lower in the bottle.

Yes it can, LOCTITE® footswitches are interchangeable across most LOCTITE® Equipment.

The EQ Pro Pump can be used with both 50 mL and 250 mL bottles. There are two different models of hand pumps, one for the 50 mL bottles and another for the 250 mL bottle. Hand pump offers the ability to change the dispense volume while diepsne volume for EQ Pro Pump is fixed.

A controller is not required to operate RC30 manual reservoir. However, a controller can be used for more control, repeatable dispensing, and programming.

The PU20 is designed to be used with low to medium viscosity products. Otherwise, adhesive flow is very slow or adhesive can clog in the feedline tubing.

It is best practice to replace the tubing completely. Refer to IDH# 1070736.

Automated robotic systems

Make sure the emergency stop is pulled out and the shorting connector is plugged in the back of the robot.

It is likely that an older style robot is being used with a newer style black teach pendant. If the robot previously used a white teach pendant, the new black style will not operate the older robot. Older robots can be upgraded to accept the new teach pendants. Please contact us for more info.

Yes, a dispense system like a reservoir controller and a light cure system can both be integrated into a robot at the same time. In this case, a robot junction box is necessary to make the connections.

Light cure systems

There is a 365 nanonmeter wavelength unit & a 405 nanometer unit.  Although the newer generation light cure products cure at 405 nanometers, we have older generation products that only cure at 365 nanometers and thus, we need the 365 nanometer option.  The newer generation products will also cure at 365 nanometers as an option.

For some reason, a lot of the standard testing on the TDS  was done just at 365 nanometers.  Just because data doesn't exist for 405 nanometers, doesn't mean it can't be cured at that wavelength. Double-check with tech support to confirm compatibility. Most of our light cure products do cure at 405 nanometers regardless of what is presented on the TDS.

This phenomenon is referred to as Oxygen inhibition. One way to overcome this is to cure the adhesive with high intensity light at a lower wavelength of 220-260 nanometers in the UV spectrum.  You can also use the CL 15 UV Wand system with a 329278 light guide to overcome the tacky surface. Lastly, some of the newer generation light cure products provide a better tack free surface.  Consult with tech support for options.

No, the lens for the CL40 has a specific focal length which will not allow the CL25 to reach the appropriate intensities.

No, the flood heads are not interchangeable and need to use the appropriate controller for each unit.

The CL40 can run up to 4 LED heads seperately by connecting a footswitch for each wand or you can link the wands to start together with 1 footswitch.

The CL42 can run up to 2 LED heads seperately by connecting a footswitch for each head or you can link the heads to start together with 1 footswitch.

The CL30 can run up to 4 LED heads seperately by connecting a footswitch for each head or you can link the heads to start together with 1 footswitch.

The EQ PM20 UV AB Radiometer / Dosimeter is designed to measure wavelengths between 320 nm & 395 nm for UV light sources. The EQ PM20 UV VIS Radiometer / Dosimeter is designed to measure wavelengths between 395 nm & 620 nm for visible light sources while the LOCTITE® 7020 UV radiomenter should be used for bulb based wand system.

The CureJet quad controller can run up to 4 LED heads seperately by connecting a footswitch for each head or you can link the heads to start together with 1 footswitch. The CureJet single controller will operate only 1 CL28 at a time.
