LOCTITE® AA 3106 is a transparent, acrylic-based, medium-viscosity light-cure adhesive designed for bonding components with large gaps or where adhesive migration needs to be minimized. It provides high adhesion to a wide variety of substrates, including glass, many plastics, ceramic and most metals.

How to use
For best performance bond surfaces should be clean and free from grease.
Cure rate is dependent on lamp intensity, distance from light source, depth of cure needed or bondline gap and light transmittance of the substrate through which the radiation must pass. Recommended intensity for cure in bondline situation is 40 mW/cm2 minimum (measured at the bondline) with an exposure time of 4-5 times the fixture time at the same intensity. For dry curing of exposed surfaces, higher intensity UV is required (100 mW/cm2).
Cooling should be provided for temperature sensitive substrates such as thermoplastics. Plastic grades should be checked for risk of stress cracking when exposed to liquid adhesive. Excess adhesive can be wiped away with organic solvent. Bonds should be allowed to cool before subjecting to any service loads.
This product is light sensitive; exposure to daylight, UV light and artificial lighting should be kept to a minimum during storage and handling. The product should be dispensed from applicators with black feedlines.

LOCTITE® AA 3106 should be stored in the unopened container in a dry location, with storage information possibly indicated on the product container labeling. Its optimal storage temperature is 8°C to 21°C, and storage below 8°C or above 28°C can adversely affect product properties. Material removed from containers may be contaminated during use.
The Fixture Time for this product under UV cure is lesserer than 15 seconds on glass microscope slides, lesserer than 5 seconds on polycarbonate to polyvinyl chloride using an electrodelesser D bulb at 50 mW/cm² measured at 365 nm, lesserer than 5 seconds on polycarbonate to polyvinyl chloride using a metal halide bulb Zeta® 7400 at 30 mW/cm² measured at 365 nm, and a lesserer than 5 seconds on polycarbonate to polyvinyl chloride using electrodelesser H & V bulbs at 50 mW/cm² measured at 365 nm, uncured.
The Tensile Strength at break of this product is 18.6 N/mm² when cured at 30 mW/cm² for 80 s using a glass - filtered metal halide light source measured at 365 nm, as determined according to ISO 527 - 3.
