We are proud to support Simona De Silvestro – an exceptional athlete who, after a successful career in motorsport, has taken a new path: qualifying for the Milan–Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games in the disciplines of monobob and two-woman bobsleigh.
Simona has worked closely with the Henkel team to improve the reliability and sealing of her bobsleighs using a wide range of LOCTITE® products. She has also contributed to making them more aerodynamic and lightweight by using threadlockers and stud locking solutions wherever possible. LOCTITE® structural adhesives, repair compounds, threadlockers, and cleaners help to keep the bobsleigh in top condition – ensuring strong bonds, secure fittings, and resistance to impacts, vibrations, and freeze.
LOCTITE® SF 7063 is a colorless, methylal, and ethanol-free, solvent-based isoparaffinic, dimethoxymethane, and ethanol cleaning agent for pre-assembly cleaning and degreasing surfaces. It’s designed to effectively remove greases, oils, lubrication fluids, metal cuttings, and fines from substrates before bonding. It's also suitable for cleaning and degreasing machine components during maintenance operations.
LOCTITE® 243 is a blue, general purpose threadlocker that provides a medium-strength bond. It works on all metals without primer, including passive substrates such as stainless steel, aluminum, and plated surfaces. Suitable for use on most oil-coated, 'as-received' fasteners without cleaning.
LOCTITE® 222 is a low-strength threadlocker for the locking and sealing of small fasteners under 6.35 mm (1/4") in diameter. It prevents loosening from shock and vibration, removable with hand tools.
LOCTITE® HY 4070 Universal Bonder is a 2-part, fast-fixturing, cyanoacrylate/acrylic-hybrid adhesive that performs brilliantly on various substrates, including most plastics, rubbers and metals. It’s designed for the assembly of parts with bond gaps of up to 5 mm (0.2") and for applications where the complete cure of excess adhesive is a must.
