LOCTITE adhesives for medical needle manufacture

UV and visible light-curing of acrylic adhesives is a technology that continues to grow due to its unique medical device assembly applicability. Rapid curing, broad substrate adhesion, and fluorescent detectability make light-cure acrylics the first consideration for many high-speed automated bonding operations.

Henkel has launched two new LED-curable adhesives: LOCTITE^® AA 3961 and LOCTITE^® AA 3963. These new adhesives cure with high strengths across many diverse plastic substrates and have rapid tack-free cure times. This paper details the combination of new properties, while maintaining key product attributes commonly associated with light-curing acrylic (LCA) adhesives.
