How to use
Position the LOCTITE® RB EV 9740 cord on the flange of the battery tray, ensuring the release paper is on the upper side, and gently press down. The adhesive properties of the cord will hold it in place. Continue pressing the cord onto the flange, ensuring complete coverage of the sealing area. At the endpoint, overlap the cord by at least 2 cm.
Check that the cord is properly pressed on, and then carefully remove the release paper.
Carefully place the battery cover on the battery housing, ensuring that the sealant is well pressed in place.
Insert the fasteners into their designated holes and evenly tighten to ensure uniform pressure. Make sure the cord remains in its designated position.
Carry out an airtightness test with special testing equipment to meet the initial IP 67 requirements. You can do this directly after assembly of the cover.

LOCTITE® RB EV 9740 provides excellent adhesion to various substrates, including steel, aluminum, and composites such as SMC. LOCTITE® RB EV 9740 does not require chemical curing. With this product, air leakage and ingress protection tests can be conducted immediately, providing a seal and protection right after the assembly of the EV battery pack.
