- Description
- Technical specification
For broad-spectrum primerless adhesion from a multi-purpose product, choose TEROSON® MS 930. This gun-grade, 1-part sealant is based on silane modified polymer (SMP), and is offered with different color choices: white, gray or black. It cures by reaction with moisture to a soft elastic product. The skin formation and cure times are dependent on humidity and temperature, and the curing time also depends on joint depth, but you can reduce these times by increasing the temperature and moisture. It is free of solvents, isocyanates, silicones and PVC, and you can rely on good adhesion to many substrates as well as compatibility with suitable paint systems. The sealant’s great UV resistance makes it ideal for both interior and exterior applications.

How to use
1. Read the Material Safety Data Sheet before application and observe precautionary measures and safety recommendations.
2. Ensure substrates are clean, dry, oil-free and grease-free before application. Take particular care to remove any external mould release agents from plastic parts before bonding or sealing.
3. Roughen the surface or use a primer or adhesion promoter such as Teroson SB 450 when needed to provide best adhesion.
4. Store away from oxidizing agents and combustible materials.
5. Handle as a highly flammable material and avoid contact with naked flames or non-flame-proof equipment.
6. Apply from 310 mL cartridges with TEROSON® hand or air pressure pistols, or from 310 mL and 570 mL foil cartridges with the corresponding FK hand or FK air pressure pistols.
7. Use 2 to 5 bar pressure for compressed air application.
8. Bring the sealant up to room temperature before application to avoid increased viscosity and lower extrusion rate.
9. Apply from hobbocks or drums using high pressure pumps with follower plates where applicable.
10. Clean application equipment contaminated with uncured TEROSON® MS 930 using Cleaner-D.
11. Store the product at 10 °C to 25 °C in unopened original packaging.
FAQ
It is used for elastic bonding and joint sealing in vehicle body, railway carriage and container manufacture, ship and boat building, metal construction, electrical, plastics, air conditioning and ventilation industries,. .
TEROSON® MS 930 is a gun-grade, 1-part sealant based on silane-modified polymer.
TEROSON® MS 930 cures by reaction with atmospheric moisture to form a soft elastic product.
Yes. TEROSON® MS 930 demonstrates good UV resistance and can be used for interior and exterior applications.
Teroson MS 930 shows good adhesion to most plastics with the exception of low-surface energy materials such as polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE). Application trials before use are recommended for paints, especially powder coatings, and for substrates such as PMMA and polycarbonate under tension due to possible stress corrosion cracking.
