LOCTITE® 2048 is a green, high viscosity, high-strength threadlocker for locking and sealing large threaded fasteners where maximum strength at room temperature is required. It cures anaerobically between close-fitting metal surfaces, helping prevent loosening and leakage caused by shock and vibration, while providing high torque augmentation for large bolts. It offers robust curing performance on active metals such as mild steel, and passive substrates such as stainless steel and plated surfaces, and it tolerates minor contamination from cutting, lubrication, anti-corrosion and protection fluids.
