PET is the most recyclable plastic in the world - capable of being recycled nearly endlessly without losing its material integrity. As more PET bottles are collected and reprocessed into new packaging, the demand for high-purity PET flakes increases. To ensure optimal quality in recycled PET, the material must remain clear, colour-stable, and retain its barrier properties. However, traditional hot melt adhesives used in bottle labelling often compromise this. With removal rates as low as 12–30%, residues from conventional adhesives can cause hazing, discolouration, and degrade the purity of the recycled material.
Our innovative adhesive TECHNOMELT® EM 335 RE is specifically designed for PET bottle labelling and disperses completely in the caustic soda bath during recycling. With a removal rate of 98%, it ensures that labels separate cleanly, leaving behind high-purity PET flakes.

TECHNOMELT® EM 335 RE ensures smooth operation at high speeds with up to 40,000 bottles per hour while maintaining low application temperatures of 110 - 140 °C. It is compatible with both paper and plastic labels.
TECHNOMELT® EM 335 RE is dispersible in hot caustic soda without dissolving in water or creating sticky residues during the recycling process. It is suitable for PET bottle recycling systems and has been approved and recommended by PETCYCLE in Germany.
TECHNOMELT® EM 335 RE comes in special X-tra packaging which enhances operator safety and improves the process. Its low application temperature minimises the risk of burns. In addition to promoting workplace safety, the adhesive complies with food safety standards and contains no mineral oil.
