For an adhesive system that meets the UL 1203 requirements for explosion-proof electric motors, consider LOCTITE® EA E-40EXP. This 2-part, self-levelling black epoxy is typically used for potting, sealing and bonding electronic and electrical components, isolating the electrical motor from hazardous vapours and chemicals that could cause an explosion. It can be potted into horizontal volumes and will instantly flow to fill the voids. It shows minimal exothermic reaction upon curing (room temperature) with very low shrinkage.
