LOCTITE® 662 is a yellow, medium-strength retaining compound for bonding cylindrical fitting parts, particularly where product outside the bond line must be completely cured. Narrow beads of this product can be solidified, even when in contact with air or by exposure to high-intensity, short-wavelength UV light. This medium-viscosity urethane methacrylate acrylic liquid cures when confined in the absence of air between close-fitting metal surfaces or when exposed to UV light of sufficient intensity. It’s designed to prevent loosening and leakage due to shock and vibration. It has a 7-minute fixture time on steel and an operating temperature range of -55°C to 150°C (-67°F to 302°F).
