Barefoot Spas faced challenges while looking to change the design of their structure from a wood frame to PVC. This switch would increase the durability and lifetime of their spas significantly. Barefoot Spas puts an emphasis on building quality products because they take care of their customer through the entire lifespan of the products. Throughout this challenging opportunity, both LOCTITE^® and Barefoot Spas had confidence in the process due to the companies' aligned values.

Loctite is in your favor! Decrease production time while increasing strength

Barefoot Spas went to their distributor, Fastenal, who immediately connected them with LOCTITE. Between the trifecta of experience and knowledge, the three parties worked together to find the best solution. LOCTITE technical sales representative went to Barefoot’s facility and tested a few adhesives.

After testing, it was determined that LOCTITE H8003 could really speed up the process. This example of a LOCTITE^® solution reduced production costs while decreasing the cycle time from 50 minutes to 10 minutes per part. That’s 5x the speed from their old process!

At the same time, durability was increased. The H8003 was able to provide the strength and structural integrity for the dissimilar substrates used in the new frame design. According to Barefoot, the structure of the hot tub is the most important part to their success. Without LOCTITE^® adhesive they would not see the same results.
