How to use
Remove all dirt, dust, grease, rust, loose paint, old adhesive, and other contaminants from the selected vehicle part and bonding area. Make sure both bonding surfaces are clean, dry, stable, and properly prepared before proceeding.
Typical repair areas may include components such as:
• Trunk lids
• Spoilers
• Trim or attachment parts
• Other metal-to-plastic bonding areas
Clean the bonding surfaces with TEROSON® VR 10 using a lint-free cloth.
For plastic bonding surfaces, apply TEROSON® VR 155 primer where required.
Allow the cleaner and primer to flash off completely in accordance with the product instructions before applying the adhesive.
Insert the TEROSON® PU 6735 LOW MDI 50 ml dual cartridge into the appropriate TEROSON® ET Handgun or compatible 2-component application tool.
Open the cartridge and dispense a small amount of material until both components flow evenly.
Attach the static mixing nozzle.
Dispense and discard a small amount of mixed adhesive to ensure that both components are being mixed homogeneously.
Apply a continuous and even bead of TEROSON® PU 6735 LOW MDI to the prepared bonding area.
Position the plastic repair or attachment part onto the metal component immediately after adhesive application.
Carefully align the component with the surrounding vehicle body or reference points.
Avoid unnecessary sliding or movement of the plastic part after contact with the adhesive.
Use suitable fixation tape where required to maintain correct positioning.
Secure the bonded component using suitable workshop fixation methods, such as:
• Adhesive tape
• Clamps
• Screws
• Workshop fixtures or positioning aids
Apply even pressure across the bonding area.
Do not apply excessive pressure that could force too much adhesive out of the bond line.
Maintain the required bond-line thickness to ensure reliable adhesion.
Allow TEROSON® PU 6735 LOW MDI to cure in accordance with the applicable Technical Data Sheet and the workshop conditions.
Curing time may be affected by factors such as temperature, bond-line thickness, substrate type, and repair geometry.
Do not move, load, sand, paint, or otherwise stress the bonded component until sufficient handling strength and curing have been achieved.
After curing, inspect the repair carefully. Check:
• Component alignment
• Bond-line continuity
• Adhesive coverage
• Fixation quality
• Overall surface and finish quality
Remove any temporary fixation tape or fixtures once sufficient strength has been achieved.
Complete any required corrosion protection, sealing, painting, or refinishing according to the applicable vehicle repair and paint procedures.
