LOCTITE® SF 8046 is a liquid aerosol rust treatment formulated to penetrate and dissolve rust, grease, dust, carbon deposits and corrosion. The product contains solvents, petroleum-derived lubricants, wetting agents and molybdenum disulfide, enabling effective penetration and removing metal rust. It is typically used to loosen nuts, bolts, tools and mechanical parts in automotive and industrial equipment. After application, the solvent system evaporates quickly, leaving a thin oily film that lubricates moving parts and protects metal surfaces against further corrosion.

How to use
Shake the bottle before use and apply the product to the required location. On very rusty or dirty parts, apply enough product to remove and dissolve the rust, and allow a few minutes for the liquid to penetrate between oxidized parts to loosen them.
LOCTITE® SF 8046 must be handled in a manner applicable to highly flammable materials and in compliance with relevant local regulations. Special care must be taken to avoid contact of the product or its vapor with naked flame or any electrical equipment that is not flame proofed. The solvent can affect certain plastics or coatings. It is recommended to check all surfaces for compatibility before use.

LOCTITE® SF 8046 is classified as flammable and must be stored in an appropriate manner in compliance with relevant regulations, and it should not be stored near oxidizing agents or combustible materials. Store the product in the unopened container in a dry location, and storage information may also be indicated on the product container labeling. The optimal storage temperature is 8 °C to 21 °C, and storage below 8 °C or greater than 28 °C can adversely affect product properties. Material removed from containers may be contaminated during use, therefore do not return the product to the original container.
