- Description
- Technical specification
LOCTITE® 567 is a white, 1-part thread sealant designed for the locking and sealing of tapered metal pipe threads and fittings. As an anaerobic-curing thread sealant, it cures when confined in the absence of air between close fitting metal surfaces and prevents loosening and leakage from shock and vibration. Its high lubricating properties prevent galling on stainless steel, aluminum and all other metal pipe threads, and allows ease of disassembly. The product offers high temperature performance and oil tolerance. And it tolerates minor surface contaminations from various oils, such as cutting, lubrication, anti-corrosion and protection fluids.
Meets the performance requirements of KIWA GASTEC QA AR 214 for admixtures up to and including 100% hydrogen gas – certifications are available in select countries.

How to use
It is recommended to use LOCTITE® SF 7063 or LOCTITE® SF 7070 Cleaner & Degreaser to degrease and clean surfaces prior to applying adhesive. If cure speed is too slow due to passive metals (stainless steel, aluminum and plated metals) or low temperatures (below 5°C), use LOCTITE® SF 7649 activator. Allow to dry.

Apply a 360° bead to the leading male thread, leaving the first thread free. For bigger threads, apply both on male and female threads. For manual dispensing the use of a peristaltic handgun is recommended to ensure a consistent application volume.
Assemble fittings using wrench tightening in accordance with manufacturers' recommendations.
Disassemble with standard hand tools. If not possible, apply localized heat to approximately 260°C/500°F and disassemble while hot.
FAQ
The standard continuous operating temperature range for LOCTITE® anaerobic adhesives is -55˚C to +150˚C. Depending on the specific application requirements, high-performance grades are also available offering increased temperature resistance. Please consult with the Henkel technical team for availability and grade selection.
Yes, Henkel anaerobic adhesives become highly resistant thermoset polymers once cured, making them suitable for a vast number of applications. Many Henkel silicone adhesives offer excellent resistance to standard media like water/glycol, amongst other solutions. Consult our online product resources or contact our technical teams for further information.
All adhesives are compatible with metal substrates although bond strength and durability will vary depending on the technology selected. Anaerobic adhesives may cause stress-cracking in some sensitive polymers and therefore should generally be avoided on plastic parts. Consult Henkel technical teams for further advice as needed.
All necessary H&S measures and PPE (personal protection equipment) requirements can be found on the product material safety data sheet, all of which are available via our website.
