How to use
Before use, the cartridge of LOCTITE® PU EV 9790 can be warmed to above 60°C if the ambient temperature is too low, making it difficult to dispense the adhesive. There are two heating devices that can be used: the TEROSON® ET CR HEATING BOX, which requires a minimum of 30 minutes, or the TEROSON® ET CR FC HEATING BOX, which requires a minimum of 60 minutes.
Remove the lower cap of the cartridge and pierce the upper membrane to access the sealant, then attach the application nozzle.
Place the cartridge in the TEROSON® POWERLINE II Air Cartridge Gun or a similar application tool. The B-component must be screwed onto the cartridge thread, and application should begin immediately.
Dispense and discard the first 2 cm of sealant to ensure a clean application before applying it to the substrate.

If the battery cover is new or has no PU gasket residue, you will need to prime the sealing area with TEROSON® Bond All-in-One Primer. Clean the surface with TEROSON® VR 10 and allow it to dry for 5 minutes. Shake the primer for at least one minute, then apply using a wool spatula. Let it dry for 2 minutes.
Apply LOCTITE® PU EV 9790 directly to the battery tray, preferably in a continuous pass.
Carefully place the battery cover on the battery housing, ensuring the sealant is well pressed in place.
Note: The cover must be installed within the 15-minute processing time.
Insert the fasteners into their designated holes and evenly tighten to ensure uniform pressure. Make sure the sealant is evenly distributed, with no visible gaps in the sealant around the edges of the battery housing.
Wait at least 30 min minutes, then carry out an airtightness test with special testing equipment to meet the initial IP 67 requirements.
