The next phase of right-sizing

E-commerce packaging is entering a new phase. Instead of selecting from predefined packaging formats, modern fulfillment centers increasingly create packaging tailored to each shipment in real time. AI-driven scanning systems determine the exact dimensions of an order, while automated equipment produces custom-fit packaging on demand.

For paper mailers, this is made possible by heat seal coated paper supplied in continuous rolls. Automated systems cut, fold and seal packaging in real time, enabling true right-sized packaging while reducing inventory complexity and improving operational efficiency.

As regulatory requirements continue to evolve, right-sized paper mailers offer a practical solution for e-commerce companies seeking to reduce empty space, improve material efficiency and support recyclability objectives. These advantages align closely with emerging PPWR requirements while supporting more efficient, automated fulfillment processes and a smarter packaging portfolio, where the most suitable format is selected for each shipment.
