- Description
- Technical specification
LOCTITE® AA 3311 is primarily designed for bonding polycarbonate to itself while not inducing stress cracking under typical molded stress levels. It enables easy assembly of components with close-fitting tolerances, and is ideal for applications involving small gaps of less than 0.25 mm. However, it has excellent adhesion to a wide variety of substrates, including glass, many plastics and most metals. Tack-free time is up to 30 seconds and fixture time is just 12 seconds.

How to use
For best performance bond surfaces should be clean and free from grease.
Cure rate is dependent on lamp intensity, distance from light source, depth of cure needed or bondline gap and light transmittance of the substrate through which the radiation must pass.
Plastic components should be checked for risk of stress cracking when exposed to liquid adhesive. Excess adhesive can be wiped away with a suitable cleaner (e.g. BONDERITE® C-MC 90014 Wipes). Cooling should be provided for temperature sensitive substrates such as thermoplastics. Bonds should be allowed to cool before subjecting to any service loads.
This product is light sensitive; exposure to daylight, UV light and artificial lighting should be kept to a minimum during storage and handling. The product should be dispensed from applicators with black/opaque feedlines.
FAQ
Yes, For best performance bond surfaces should be clean and free from grease.
LOCTITE® AA 3311 should be stored in the unopened container in a dry location, with storage information possibly indicated on the product container labeling. Its optimal storage temperature is 8 °C to 21 °C, and storage below 8 °C or above 28 °C can adversely affect product properties. Material removed from containers may be contaminated during use.
The tensile strength of this product in its fully-cured state is 23 N/mm², measured in accordance with ISO 527-3.
LOCTITE® AA 3311 will be recommended for bonding close-fitting clear plastic components to plastic, glass or metal parts in applications such as disposable medial devices.
