BONDERITE® L-GP 554/20 is a dispersion of colloidal graphite in water, designed for use in aluminium extrusion to apply a graphite coating on the pressure pad (dummy block) to prevent it from sticking to the billet end after extrusion. Dipping the pressure pad in diluted BONDERITE L-GP 554/20 ACHESON immediately after extrusion forms a graphite film with excellent lubricating and parting properties, while at the same time providing the necessary cooling.
