LOCTITE® LB 8150 is anti-seize lubricant paste fortified with graphite, aluminium and extreme-pressure (EP) additives. LOCTITE LB 8150 is a silver-coloured, petroleum-based lubricant lubricant that is inert and won't evaporate or harden in extreme heat or cold. It can tolerate high temperatures up to 900°C (1652°F) and is suitable for assemblies where such temperatures are possible.

Anti-seize fills the gaps between mating surfaces, and prevents contact under load. Upon exposure to high temperatures, the grease components burn off and the active fillers remain to allow for disassembly of the components.
Galling is the tearing or welding of metal when two substrates rub against each other, usually caused by lack of lubrication and extreme contact pressure.
